finally, holidays. i need not dread waking up at unholy hours and suffer from severe lack of sleep. (if you see anyone looming around like a zombie... that person is probably me.. hahaz)
they say that 休息是为了走更长远的路 (resting is to prepare for the tougher journey ahead) and i couldnt agree more on that. theres like common test and after that, whoa, prelims. then A level serves as the finale of my JC life. wow time flies isnt it?
corrine bailey rae rawks! if you have heard "put your records on" u'll know wat i mean :) but i wonder why shes not gaining the popularity here in singapore. for people who like jazz, this is a must-have! i recommend "trouble sleeping" and "like a star".
yesterday sean invited the 4c ppl for a birthday buffet at some jap restaurant at some sleazy hotel. its like a total sinfest; we ate and ate and ate and ate without giving much thoughts about our weight ( or our luv handles in that case haha). and basically everything thats on the table will be consumed in a minute. our table is like the liveliest table there haha with plates of tempura prawn and stir-fried beef constantly served at out table and gobbled out at that very instant. then later sf decides to get dodgy and get a bottle of sake to stir up the atmosphere to greater heights. the person didnt even check his ic lolz!
drinking sake is really a refreshing experience. its like abit bitter, but with a sweet aftertaste and a strong burning sensation in the stomach. its like 4c, really. right now we are like if diff classes and combis and we hardly get to see each other. ultimately, we will be parting our ways and thats the bitter part. but the memories that we share throughout the sec 3 and sec4 years and all the crazy things that we do and all the crazy extreme monkey wrestling movies that we filmed, it will be a part of our lives, and thats like the sweet aftertaste that lingers in my tongue as the sake flowed down my throat.

supposed to do my econ tys but since i couldnt find my notes (it HAS to be in that big pile of worksheets in my room... hahaz) i shall just blog about my GP common test today! and post-exam activities
was feeling really sick these few days and somehow i have a tendency to fall asleep whenever i lied on my bed. even though it was supposed to be a 5 minute rest. oh well so i was dragging myself to school and my head really felt heavy, aka IMBA. some talking cock session with my sec 4 classmates helped to alleviate the symptoms abit.
then its exam time! the questions are typically rj-style. that is, leaving u stnning there with questions like "life is harder, not easier" and "what is the value of routine in daily life". i choose the one on the old ppl though many of my classmates chose the media one. sian if i knew media is coming out i would have chosen it too.
compre is ok also i guess. i just write hell lot of crap for both papers. hope i wont be heavily penalised for grammer and SVA.
then after that we decided to go j8 for lunch and movies. the lagsagne at pa Sta mania comes with such pathetic serving that even the mix rice stall 6 at rj seems more generous with its serving. and its a whooping 9.30 *sob*
and aye aye went to buy movie tickets, and somehow everyone was owed money! it was so perplexing that i could no longer use logical explaination for such bizzare phenomenon.
sorry GP blues. anyway contrary to popular beliefs i didnt cheat anyone of their money!! so stop tarnishing my reputation of ur lively blog of iridescence lol!!!!!
over the hedge is an ok show. its worth 7 bucks but i dunno whether its worth 4 stars. overrated suspected.

its really nice, isnt it? geez, its like the coolest thing in town LAH.
its like, when you go to town and people see u using it and they will like ooogle at your bottle and exclaim "AWWMAGOSH where did he get that bottle from? isit from billabong? isit from quiksilver? ripcurl? banana republic?"

THEN BY ALL MEANS BUY A RJC ENTRE BOTTLE TODAY!!! IT COSTS ONLY 7 BUCKS WITH A 25% CHANCE OF GETTING IT AT 4 BUCKS ONLY!!i say, you should buy two. why? heres my reasoning:
if you buy one, the chances of you getting the discount would be 1/4.
hence, there will be 75% chance of you buying it at 7 dollars.
and the mean price would be 7x 3/4 + 4X1/4 = $6.25
however if you buy two, then the chance of you getting at least one discounted bottle would be
1/4 X 3/4 X 2! + 1/4X1/4 = 7/16
which means that you have a much higher chance ( around half) to get the discounted bottle.
compared to buying just one bottle.
you can give the extra bottle to your loved ones, (couple bottle wooo!) or even better, you could sell it for a handsome profit. (mathematical evidences not shown here due to complexity of calculation)

a classmate of mine told me something about myself yesterday, which really got me thinking on my way home.
in a way, he's right and i think i really have to do something about it. the transformation is not just physical; my mentality have to change as well. it will require alot of commitments, and i hope that i could realy use my one-month break really well.
on other issues, c hem is really getting out of hands. we r having extra lectures every week now to cover the small topics, and we r still at electroc hem. mind you that VJ is already moving into options.
who's at fault, really?
the c hem dept for not rushing last year and have unrealistically comprehensive notes which half of which are not in syllabus? for catering too much to the s paper people that they forget about the fundamentals?
the student population for being so damn rowdy and noisy and have absolutely lack of punctuality? its quite common that lecture starts ten minutes late because thats the time taken for ppl to settle down. as a result lectures r reallly draggy.
i couldnt really decide; all i know is that theres so fucking lot of things to study now and im really pissed with the way things r progressing.
GP common test is next wednesday and gosh omfg i still have trouble in expressing myself.(as evident in this entry) lets just hope that my extra fluke luck with some last minut mugging can take me thru this ordeal.
on a brighter note, holidays r coming and i really need that break to recharge myself. it would be good to go back to my hometown too and see my dad again. not to mention the gastronomic delights and cheap movies, cheapo clothes, and psuedo billabong imitations :D

went for art exhibition yesterday followed by handover ceremony. hope the j1s can do a good job.
then we had a totally crazy and fun time at old airport road hawker centre. and the food was suuuuuuper nice.
will update about it when i have the time. right now, the prioritise is on bio SPA. last SPA of the year!! woooooooooooooo!

TOP SCORE FOR BOWLING!! THANK U THANK U :D
so today we went for BB comm outing (j2 & j1 batch). unfortunately the turnout wasnt very great with alot of ppl being mysteriously sick :S
weird.
so its like 11 guys (ok amelia is a girl. lol so thats 10 guys) going to marina bay. thanks goodness liyana and candice joined us soon after that or else it will be a real sausage fest. lol jk!
so we decided to bowl. GREAT IDEA! everyone knows that i pwn in bowling :P
liyana nat and i were in the same team. at first things do not go really well cos the bloody ball keep tilting either too left or too right. hence kinda bad for a straightshooter like me :( got a 67 or sth liddat. then on the second game things starts to get a lil better ( guess cos im a well warmed up haha) and i keep getting strikes and spare. my score? a whooping 141!! hah OWNAGE XD
ok enuff ego for the day. but im really happy lah haha. guess i treasure these little happy moments in life; they really made my day.
so after the short-lived exhilaration we decided to go to pool. its a crappy place with the smell of cigarette smoke lingering inside. weird i tot smoking is banned in pool place? unfortunately (or fortunately), there wasnt anymore places left and we have to be contended with playing arcade. i race with joshua AND LOST. OMG! as confucius says, one mountain is higher than another mountain; ive met my match. liyana and candice left and once again we r left with 1 girl. then another girl came and the ratio is less imba.
then we hav steamboat bbq! oh my goodness it must be the smokiest steamboat place i've ever been. most unhygienic too ( though most steamboat places r liddat haha) ate hell lot of meat and get amused by prawns wriggling and struggling vigorously for their lives when we put them into the hot soup and watching the girls scream. LOL
overall its quite a good day though i still dunno much abt the j1s and i guess the only breakthrough is that i talked more to liyana and joshua! hes a nice guy to eat with :D
